Problem Gambling Awareness Week

The 2008 Problem Gambling Awareness Week public awareness campaign will take place March 9-15, 2008. The goal of this campaign is to educate the general public and health care professionals about the warning signs of problem gambling and raise awareness about the help that is available both locally and nationally.

Visit the National Council on Problem Gambling NCPG website for free materials to promote awareness of problem gambling, and more importantly, that there is hope and help for those who suffer from gambling problems.

OPG Advisory Group Meeting

The purpose of the Advisory Group is to discuss priorities and strategies for educating and training individuals engaged in problem gambling-related issues. The Advisory Group is a valuable forum for collaboration among state regulating agencies, gambling-industry representatives, educators, researchers, and advocates for problem gambling issues.

Resource Center

Events through the Resource Center support the needs of agency employees, health and service providers, judges, attorneys, housing staff, police officers, various county and state employees and others who work with or are concerned about the health, welfare and safety of the general public.

When you are planning a conference, meeting, or other event in which Resource Center publications are needed, we ask that you e-mail the Resource Center no later than two months prior to the event. By doing so, you allow us time to print or order what you'll need and get it to you on time. Your event can then benefit from the fine publications you'll receive.

View the Resource Center calendar of events.
