Lending Services

Lending Services carries a collection of books, journals, reports, and videos specializing in alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. These materials are loaned directly to government agencies, including schools or school districts, and organizations licensed and certified by the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs and/or are funded through a county alcohol and drug program. Materials are also lent directly to state, county and public libraries. Individuals can obtain RC lending materials through an interlibrary loan from their local library.

Lending Services is located at 1700 K Street, First Floor, Sacramento, CA 95811-4037 and is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., excluding State holidays. For more information about lending services, call (toll-free) 1-800-879-2772.

Lending Information

A Loan Agreement form must be completed and on file in the Resource Center prior to processing a request for materials.

Download and print a copy of the Loan Policy & Loan Agreement (PDF). All lending materials are loaned for a three-week period.

Once approved for borrowing materials please use the Media Request Form (PDF) to order materials.

Searching for Lending Media

Various audiovisual materials are available through the Resource Center. The DVD/video catalog is now available through a browse and search format as well as a downloadable file.

  • Reports and Journal Articles
    To search for journal articles on a specific subject, go to EBSCO or CalCAT, find the article you want, then email the Resource Center with your request. The Resource Center will obtain the article and email it to you.
