Advisory Groups

Current Advisory Groups

The Director’s Advisory Council (DAC) is planning to form a Criminal Justice Sub-committee to advise the department on all Criminal Justice venues including: Driving Under the Influence programs; Parolee Services Network; Drug Courts; Substance Abuse and Crime Prevention Act (SACPA); and the Offender Treatment Program (OTP). Previous advisory groups focused solely on SACPA and OTP-related issues. This sub-committee will be comprised of DAC members as well as other stakeholders from the criminal justice, treatment, and research communities.

Previous Advisory Groups

Offender Treatment Advisory Group—previously provided guidance on ways to improve program outcomes through strategies identified by the five-year SACPA evaluation conducted by the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and other research.

Statewide Advisory Group—previously provided guidance during the program's first five years and dealt with issues of implementation and early administration.

Evaluation Advisory Group—provided guidance on conducting the mandated five-year SACPA evaluation that was conducted by UCLA.
