ALL HANDS MEETING FOR SACRAMENTO VETERANS

The California Department of Veteran Affairs, the City of Sacramento, and Sacramento State University are joining forces to help meet the needs of California vets and provide them with needed information.:

  • Who: Representatives from CalVet, elected officials (invited), veterans, and students

  • BACKGROUND:
    This is one of several Veterans All-Hands Meetings taking place throughout California this year. These meetings are designed to provide a forum for providing current information regarding benefits and services available to veterans. Also provided will be information of great importance to veterans returning from the current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The purpose of the event is to connect returning veterans with viable jobs, internships, training programs and two and four year colleges in the food and farming industry throughout Northern California as well as to offer assistance to those starting their own farms and businesses.
